Can you keep a secret?

I like a boy, it’s true. And he really really likes funkychunky. So I’m making him a present. I call it…

I also have a lot of free time on my hands right now…thank you psych rotation! Please don’t judge how I spend it.

Fun math:

FunkyChunky 20 oz canister: $15.99
SpunkyMonkey 50 oz: $11.00

Ingredients:

1 box Snyder’s pretzels
1 bag caramel corn
1  bag chocolate chips
1 bag peanut butter chips
1 cup caramel bits
1 tbsp milk (almond or regular)

Spread the pretzels out on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper.

Spread the popcorn on top. Microwave the caramel bits stirring every 15 seconds until smooth. Drizzle over pretzels and popcorn.

Next melt 3/4 of the bag of chocolate in a microwavable bowl, again stirring every 15 seconds. Be careful! Chocolate is super easy to burn, and then it gets all funky and won’t drizzle correctly. Pour that on top of the pretzel mix.

Cover in another layer of parchment paper, then refrigerate (or set outside depending on the weather) for about 1 hour or until chocolate is set.

Next turn the pretzels and popcorn over in large  chunks. Melt the peanutbutter chips in the microwave with 2 tbsp almond milk, stirring carefully every 10 seconds. It doesn’t like to melt smoothly like the chocolate so once it’s basically soft just spread it on top of the pretzels with a kinfe.

Last step, melt the remaining chocolate and drizzle over top the peanut butter. Recover and let chill for another 2 hours until set.

Break the pretzels apart and put half in a large jar with an awesome label. Covertly store the other half in a quaker oats container for yourself. Hide it well!
